Today I came across an article on Kiplinger about when you should buy certain items.
To get the very best deal, you have to know when to buy. Most things are marked down at certain times each year. So planning your purchases to get items when they’re at their lowest price can potentially save you hundreds of dollars.
You won’t find quite as many items on sale in the summer as in other seasons. But that doesn’t mean you can’t find some great deals in June, July and August. In particular, you’ll find lots of items that kids need for school marked down as they head back to the classroom or campus.
According to the article, these are the Best Buys of Summer (June, July, August):
- Gym memberships (June)
- Lingerie (June)
- Furniture (July)
- Tools (July)
- Jeans (July/August)
- Laptop computers (August)
- School supplies (August)
- Summer apparel (August)
- Swimwear (August)
So good to know! I’m in the market for a couple things on this list so it’s good to know when to buy. I’ll be hitting up the Victoria’s Secret semiannual sale in June and then getting new furniture in July. Since I’m moving this summer to a place with more space I’ll need more furniture to fill out the place.
What will you be buying this summer to save money?
