About
about fmo:
You would think that even as the creative one in a family full of accountants I would know something about money. But I don’t. Or at least I didn’t. My family didn’t impart any great personal finance knowledge upon me so I took to the internet to learn. Now I’m in my mid twenties and finally figuring money out. This is my personal journey in eliminating debt and finding financial independence one step at a time.
about this site:
This is a personal finance (PF) blog. All posts will somehow be related to my finances and how they affect my every day life. I won’t be posting a ton of “how to” stuff because I’m learning, not teaching. There are lots of awesome websites and blogs out there that can give you that information. Here you will just find one journey to financial independence.
This blog was created as a place to write about money issues in depth, beyond what I’m comfortable discussing in blogs that friends and family read. You might know who I am, but please don’t disclose it (just email me). Only a select few know about this blog and I like to keep it that way so I have a space to write openly about my finances.
Send any questions or comments to figuringmoneyout [at] gmail [dot] com.
blog disclaimer:
I am not a financial adviser. I am not a money expert. In fact, I barely know anything about personal finance – but I’m learning. Please don’t make financial decisions based off of my blog.
